This was all I could find on Iran History Timeline....but I don't understand what caused Iran (in the book) to become the way it is.

  1. Looking at all the seperate dynasties that were created and how many times Iran was conquered by yet another invader, I'm not surprised Iran is in turmoil today. They never had time to really settle their country and gain peace. On another note, before we started reading Persepolis, I never realized Iran came out of Persia. I didn't know they had such a rich, powerful history. This seems to make their current state even sadder.

  2. This is a cool idea for a post! Stuff has been going on in Iran for such a logn time, even though it wasn't called Iran back then. Islam has been there for a really long time.
