Fred -Physical - Is always on the move and lifting thing to make way.
Daphne - Moral - Not very smart; would attempt to solve her problems in a fashionable way. She later became more confident and started playing a more active role as time wore on
Velma - Mental - Velma is the most intelligent in the group and often makes great use of her skills in such areas as reading Chinese, deciphering scientific formulae, operating communications equipment, and so forth.
Shaggy & Scooby - Sentimental - They have a lot of feeling and take things to heart. They are not big on cracking down on the crime.
Heroic Virtues: Physical, Mental, Moral and Sentimental.
From the list about I think that Scooby Doo and his gang is pretty heroic.
Nice. Very interesting way of describing each character and his/her/its heroic attribute + a description of how that makes him/her/it act. When combined, i can totally see the team creating one big super hero like The Justic League.
ReplyDeleteScooby Doo is a show I HOPE all of us have seen. I dont know about you guys, but when I was little and watched this show religiously, I definitely looked up to Scooby & his gang! I thought that what they did was so cool, and it's interesting now learning about heroic virtues how the creater of the show spread out these characteristics between all the characters, instead of just having one hero.
ReplyDeleteI love this post! I was such a Scooby Doo fan when I was little, I think I've seen every episode. I totally agree that they are a collective hero, but I don't really see Scooby Doo as the protagonist. I see the whole gang as a protagonist, they don't really focus on one exact person through out all of the shows.
